We have shipped a big round of updates across EpicForge, with a new TBC raid planner experience, a full Raid Check workflow, and major upgrades to character search and character compare.

If you have not checked these tools in a while, this release is built to make planning raids, checking roster readiness, and reviewing characters much faster.

New: Raid Planner TBC

The TBC raid planner is now live and gives guilds a much stronger way to build and manage raid rosters inside EpicForge.

  • Create and manage raid teams with a cleaner planner workflow.
  • Import rosters directly from Raid-Helper links.
  • Refresh an imported Raid-Helper roster without rebuilding the whole plan.
  • Map aliases and imported names back to real EpicForge character names.
  • Use autosave and saved raid state to reduce lost work while editing.
  • Share raid plans, keep audit history, and use collaboration tools on saved raids.
  • Open the Discord wizard to preview and post raid output to your connected server.

New: Raid Check

Raid Check is built directly into the planner so you can review raid readiness without bouncing between pages or spreadsheets.

  • Run Raid Check for the active team or across all teams.
  • Review readiness in grouped or flat views.
  • Filter by role or class to focus on tanks, healers, DPS, or a single class.
  • Switch BiS phase targets to review the roster against the phase you are planning for.
  • See per-character status pills for enchants, gems, and tracked BiS coverage.
  • Queue live character refreshes from the Raid Check view and watch status update in place.

This makes it much easier to spot unfinished characters, missing enchants, weak gem coverage, or players who still need key upgrades before raid night.

Character Search Upgrades

Character pages have also had a major upgrade pass.

  • A richer gear paperdoll now shows more visual slot detail and better at-a-glance status.
  • Summary pills surface BiS coverage, gem coverage, and enchant coverage directly on the character view.
  • Spec and phase-aware BiS tools now make it easier to review a character in the right context.
  • The upgrades panel highlights raid and dungeon item paths based on current BiS data.
  • Refresh flows and queue feedback are clearer, especially when data is being updated in the background.
  • Recent Changes now tracks gear swaps, enchants, gems, log changes, item level movement, and more.
  • Snapshot tools make it easier to step through character history instead of only viewing the latest state.

Character Compare Upgrades

Character compare has been rebuilt to be much more useful for recruitment checks, roster decisions, and side-by-side gear reviews.

  • Compare two full paperdolls side by side with clearer gear presentation.
  • See BiS, gem, and enchant coverage for both characters at a glance.
  • Track last refreshed state, live queue activity, and character view counts from the compare page.
  • Refresh either side independently without rebuilding the full comparison.
  • Review raid parses and supporting character details in the same compare workflow.

Recent Changes and Snapshot Compare

One of the biggest quality-of-life improvements in this release is the new character history tooling.

  • Use Recent Changes to see what actually changed instead of manually scanning an entire character.
  • Compare snapshots to review progress over time.
  • Quickly spot new upgrades, enchant changes, gem changes, and log movement between snapshots.
  • Premium history support allows deeper tracking for players who want a longer progression trail.

Why this update matters

EpicForge is moving further toward being a single place to plan raids, review roster quality, and track character progression. This release is all about reducing friction:

  • Less spreadsheet work.
  • Less back-and-forth between tools.
  • Faster raid preparation.
  • Clearer signals when a character is ready or still missing key upgrades.

We will keep iterating from here, but this release already lays a much stronger foundation for guild planning and character review across the site.
